74 years old women, Smt. Ann Smallwood soon after coming to Bangalore complained of Chest pain, was initially evaluated in a Private Hospital and then brought to Jayadeva Institute for further treatment.
Dr. C N Manjunath, Professor of Cardiology & Director confirmed that she has suffered heart attack and advised Emergency Angioplasty. Coronary Angiogram showed 95% blockage in the Right Coronary Artery. Dr. C N Manjunath conducted the Angioplasty and Stenting Procedure. Technically it was challenging procedure since there was lot of calcium deposition in the artery which is a feature in many elderly patients. She has recovered well and will be discharged within 2-3 days.
This British National is visiting India for 4-6 weeks holiday in Kerala. Smt. Ann Smallwood is planning to fly back to London in 4-5 days time cancelling her original programme.

She was very much impressed by the facilities, hospitality and the concern of the hospital staff & thanked all the doctors, Nursing Staff of the hospital for an uneventful recovery. She never felt that it is a Government hospital.
