We wish to inform that Dr. P.S. Seetharam Bhat, Professor of C T Surgery, Sri Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences and Research, Bangalore has the distinction of performing the Open Heart Surgery on 26 days old baby successfully recently.

Because of outstanding contributions in the department of C T Surgery, he was invited to deliver the prestigious “Godrej S Karai Oration” in the recently held combined meeting of Asian Society of Cardiovascular Thoracic Surgery and Indian Association of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgeons held at New Delhi from 26th Feb. to 1st March 2010.

The meeting was inaugurated by Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Dr. Manmohan Singh. The meeting was attended by eminent Cardiac surgeons from India and Asian Countires including those from Japan and China.
